It reminds me of how NBA champion Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers once responded in an interview: “There are certain people who are terribly hungry. There are certain people who are willed and determined and hungry that you need to be the best.” in the world Those people and only those people become champions.” Sachin Tendulkar has not been an exception. He puts all the blood of he loves to play the game of cricket with meraki.

Indeed, it was enlightening to watch the coveted book launch on TV, the autobiography of the greatest batsman of all time who bears the title ‘God of Cricket’, namely Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. Publisher Hachette India has unveiled his autobiography titled Sachin Tendulkar: Play my way.

his father’s words

Born into a Maharashtrian family in Mumbai based in Bandra Sahitya Sahawas colony, he has two brothers and one sister with Sachin being the youngest. His father, Ramesh Tendulkar, was an acclaimed Marathi poet, critic and teacher, while his mother, Rajani, worked for the Santacruz-based office of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).

The first chapter of this book entitled “Childhood” talks about the words of his father that are registered in his mind to this day. If you remain humble, people will give you love and respect even after you are done with the game. As a parent, I would be happier to hear people say, “Sachin is a good human being” than “Sachin is a great cricketer.”

The teaching and education of his parents and the blessings he receives from his fans spread all over the world make him an admired and respected personality.

Love can’t be fixed, it just happens (Best Association)

The book would not be complete without reference to his wife Anjali, the best partner of his life who has always been with him in his best and bad moments: Anjali Mehta becomes Anjali Tendulkar. It was on Sachin’s 21st birthday that the two of them got engaged.

The curiosity factor always remains in the eyes of the common masses as to how and where Anjali puts her better half. Well, Sachin had just landed in Mumbai from his 1990 tour of England and was waiting to collect her bags when he saw an extremely attractive woman looking down from the airport observation gallery. Anjali was wearing an orange T-shirt and blue jeans. While leaving the airport, her dear friend Sachin Harshe whispered in Sachin’s ear that a very pretty girl called him by her name and that she really wanted to meet him. But, with his brothers Ajit and Nitin around him, Sachin was too apprehensive to speak to or meet Anjali in person. The fact is that love cannot be fixed, it just happens.

complete autobiography

A very interesting and complete autobiography I must say with interesting anecdotes. Those were the days when Sachin didn’t come out on the 94 at the end of the first day. Sachin had invited his mentor, Mr. Ramakant Achrekar, to dinner. Sir, he agreed to his invitation to dinner, but only on the day Sachin would score his first hundred in school cricket. The next day, Sachin, who was not in 94 on the first day, scored his hundred and, true to his words, Mr. Achrekar went to Sachin’s house for dinner that night, which was the most satisfactory for him.

The book has been supplemented by many color images, including his speech notes that Sachin took with him on his last day at International Cricket. What I like about Sachin is that, in addition to the deep respect he has for his parents, it is also the reverence he has for many people who came into his life, especially to sum it up in his own words, Sir Mr. Ramakant Achrekar. When people achieve exalted success, the tendency is to get carried away and forget about their own mentor, which is not healthy. Well, experience enriches our life and we should learn from such role models in our life’s journey.

To the voice of all my readers Happy Reading!!! Sachin Tendulkar: Play my way. I hope you all find reading his autobiography as enlightening as I did. In short, in the words of Sachin himself, it is his life between 22 yards for 24 years.
