Antique Wooden Photo Frames – Has the trend gone out of style?

In modern times, not many of us are lucky enough to grow up in front of our grandparents, but those of us who have had this opportunity are undoubtedly the most fortunate. The amount of love and concern that grandparents have for us are the few reasons that allow us to be amazing people when we grow up. In regards to my growth, I have been one of those lucky few; I have been one who grew up in the lap of his grandparents and certainly the one who grew up with a lot of love and care. So today, when I look back at those memories of my childhood, I experience a variety of emotions: some make me laugh out loud, while others make me cry louder because time flew by in the blink of an eye.

As I sit down, I start to write this article, a line goes through my mind, it says: “… die with memories, not dreams”, and it reminds me of my maternal grandfather, the most amazing man I have ever encountered. He has been an incredible person for his family, and still is, but for me, he is the guide, or rather, he is the bearer of the torch. As I keep thinking about him and how he taught me the best lessons of my life, I look up at the wall of the room that has a huge photo of the two of them in an antique wooden picture frame.

You may be thinking, “Why a wooden photo frame? Couldn’t I have picked something good, something better?” Well, I really could have done that, but I think wood speaks of eternity, and marks a good memory of my childhood. The old wooden picture frame on that empty wall reminds me of the importance this old man has in my life, and it also makes me think that time passes too quickly. 22 years from now, my grandfather would hold me in his arms, making me feel so protected, and today, this vintage-looking frame holds that memory, making me feel the same protection.

But, that’s my vision of a photo frame, and you can always differ from mine. However, I also think that by the end of this article, you will be indoctrinated with the idea of old wooden photo frames. If you think the old / wooden photo frame trend has become obsolete, you should definitely read it to the end.

Here are the reasons why the trend for wooden and vintage photo frames never goes out of style:

  1. It is not the image that ages, it is the people who keep it fresh, forever! The images remain the same, even as the people in them change or age. Do you have a photo of yourself when you were curled up in the mud, playing soccer with your friends, or the one you clicked on with your mother? If so, you probably know that the image never aged; Similarly, antiques and wood never age, they stay the same for years.
  2. Beautiful souvenirs need old wooden frames.. Memories have a huge role to play in our lives and every memory that we have been a part of acts as a reminder of the person we were a few years ago. These beautiful keepsakes receive the best justice when placed in antique wooden photo frames, the perfect place for the perfect keepsakes.
  3. Don’t talk about how you’ve lived so far, let these frames do the talking all the time! Everything that is elegant and timeless speaks for itself; be it an old man, an old photo, old wood or an old photo frame. To keep memories of the old days alive, put them in antique wooden photo frames. Once you do this, stop! Don’t talk, let these frames talk all the time.
  4. An eternal look at the house is always pleasant. Aside from the fact that frames keep your memories alive forever, it is essential that you know that an antique wooden photo frame adds a touch of elegance to your home. The perfect designs, the wood, the quality, the traditional designs, and of course the old memories make it a desirable piece of home decor.

I don’t think I have to say anything more about photographs and frames; I think you’ve already understood why the trend for these incredibly stylish vintage frames will never get old. When I start to feel the serenity in my heart, I just want to take a minute to thank whoever started the idea of these frames; I just want to say, “The trend for vintage wood frames hasn’t gotten old, and it certainly won’t continue for years to come.”
